Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Network Services Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructures supporting voice, data, and video communications. The successful candidate will monitor and troubleshoot network performance, optimize capacity, and apply cybersecurity best practices to ensure reliable and resilient operations. This individual will provide expertise to enable the program to operate efficiently while safeguarding critical information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of networked systems for voice, data, and video transmission.
• Analyze and recommend network requirements.
• Design and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
• Monitor network capacity, workload, and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
• Recommend and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems and software.
• Apply cybersecurity principles, policies, and practices to ensure secure network services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a network engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and operating Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and/or HP network devices.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity with modern cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
