- Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure.
- Design and apply analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and other scientific methods to support data-driven decision-making.
- Translate mission needs and analytical questions into technical requirements and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technical solutions while maintaining awareness of evolving data collection, processing, and analytic capabilities.
Required Qualifications

- Degrees in physical, behavioral, or life sciences with a substantial computational component may also be considered if coursework included 5 or more advanced (300-level or higher) classes in mathematics or computer science (e.g., linear algebra, probability, machine learning, algorithms, data mining, AI).
- Relevant experience must include work in one or more of the following areas:
- Machine Learning design and implementation
- Data Science and Advanced Analytics
- Statistical Analysis (variability, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA)
